The Brief

This project had everything - The brief was to provide a comprehensive CCTV solution across five buildings on Merchants Quay in Dublin City Centre. The design had to encompass five reception areas, a multilevel car park, multiple entrances and exits. The system would need to be remote video monitoring ready, monitoring loitering and allow integration with access systems.

The Design

We designed a linked IP infrastructure across the five buildings utilising Cisco network switches. The surveillance recording system is distributed across the site utilising Avigilon edge recorders with dedicated remote viewing stations installed at each reception. A mix of Avigilon H5SL cameras for general surveillance, Avigilon H5A for people and car detection and H4 multisensor cameras were installed for surveillance. At the car park barriers Usee.ie installed Avigilon Intercoms allowing any reception desk deal with any caller.

On the rooftop we installed an Axis communications camera with live streaming capability to promote the wonderful riverside location. Across the site a network of Axis communications IP audio speakers allow on site and remote security intervene and talk to the site.

Problems Solved
