Illegal Dumping At Turvey Nature Sanctuary

Client - Fingal County Council

Client - Fingal Co Council

Location - Turvey Nature Sanctuary

Following the arrival and subsequent departure of an illegal encampment Turvey nature sanctuary & allotments was left in a state as shown by the photographs below. The existing CCTV system which has been installed a number of years ago had fallen into a state of disrepair.

Usee.ie were contracted to assess and design a solution that would provide a high degree of coverage, utilise some of the existing cameras on site and be low impact due to the location of the site.

We provided design consultancy and installed a new Avigilon edge recorder in a secure location. The recorder is accessed remotely via our cellular service with static IP. The installation of an Avigilon encoder enabled four of the existing analogue cameras to be recorded on one channel. To give high definition 360 degree coverage we installed an Avigilon multisensor camera with 32 megapixels resolution, self learning analytics and adaptive infra red.

Since installation anti social behavior, fly tipping and illegal activities have been reduced to a minimum. The system provides evidential quality imagery with super fast search allowing Fingal county council access & secure evidence for prosecution.

The facility is a very busy location for gardeners, bird watchers, families and dog walkers. A wonderful place to secure now and for the future.
